This composition is a testament to the Rewards of Perseverance and Comprehensive Calculations. With an unflinching attention to the confines of its four sides, Halecky quite literally creates a Space and Place with fabric cut-outs. There is a magical production at hand as perfectly placed textiles yield what the viewer so convincingly sees. Most likely pre-dawn, the hum and drum of the fluorescence brings us all to a similar space, so well calibrated by back lighting the glasswork with similarly colored cloth work. The interior spaces, the upright coolers and veiled culinary confections behind glasswork - all of it is perfectly implied, irrevocably, with decisions that are almost impossible to teach. This was made by the hands of an intuitive maestro of collage.
