Delores Quill Memorial Award for Current Events in Art
Award - $100
Sponsored by:
Ed Quill
With other wives, Delores Quill joined with the directors in 1968 in the very first Arts Festival, assisting them in the preparations for the proposed three-day event. She helped line up volunteers to pass out programs and to man the raffle and donation bowls. She assisted in setting up the art exhibits in the two tents, labeling, and making sure the artists got their works returned. She helped in numerous other behind-the-scenes activities that made the first festival memorable and worth doing annually. She continued in these activities for several subsequent years.
